Out of the 44.86 lakh notices that need to be generated, officials have issued 42.69 lakh so far. The remaining notices are still being processed. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are delivering these notices directly to the voters concerned.
Haryana Chief Electoral Officer A. Sreenivas confirmed that the process is continuing as per the instructions of the Election Commission. The Tribune India reports that the campaign focuses on correcting various types of discrepancies found in voter records.
Voter Applications Received During SIR-2026 Campaign
The election office has received a significant number of applications from voters during this revision period. As of August 5, the office had received:
- 8,942 Form No. 6 applications for inclusion of names in the electoral rolls
- 194 Form No. 7 applications
- 8,294 Form No. 8 applications
These forms allow voters to request corrections, deletions, or additions to their voter information. The Election Commission of India oversees these special revision exercises to maintain accurate voter lists.
