Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has said the state government is working consistently to turn the vision and policies of Dr Yashwant Singh Parmar — the architect of Himachal Pradesh and its first Chief Minister — into reality. The goal, he said, is to make Himachal one of the country’s most prosperous states by 2032.
CM Sukhu’s tribute to Dr YS Parmar on 120th birth anniversary
Sukhu made the remarks while addressing a function organised at the Vidhan Sabha to mark Dr Parmar’s 120th birth anniversary. He said the government remains committed to the ideals of the state’s founding leader, whose dream was to build a modern, educated and prosperous Himachal with improved connectivity and balanced development.
According to UNI India, the Chief Minister also stressed the importance of holistic rural development as part of realising Dr Parmar’s vision.
Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister, ministers, legislators and other dignitaries paid floral tributes to Dr Parmar at the Ridge.
