Himachal Pradesh is bracing for more heavy rain as the State Meteorological Centre has issued an orange weather alert for seven districts. The warning comes as 105 roads across the state remain blocked due to torrential rains, severely affecting daily life and essential services.

The weather office has predicted that heavy rain is very likely to continue across the state. An orange alert has been issued for Shimla, Kangra, Solan, Una, Hamirpur, Sirmaur and Chamba districts, according to The Tribune.

105 Roads Blocked Across Himachal Pradesh
According to the State Emergency Operation Centre, a total of 105 roads remain blocked across the state. The disruption is most severe in Mandi district, where 39 roads are closed, followed by Kullu with 33 blocked roads.
The district-wise breakdown of blocked roads is as follows:

- Kullu: 33 roads
- Sirmaur: 9 roads
- Chamba: 7 roads
- Shimla: 6 roads
- Kangra: 6 roads
- Una: 4 roads
- Lahaul and Spiti: 1 road
Power and Water Supply Disrupted
The heavy rains have also damaged critical infrastructure. Around 36 transformers remain disrupted across the state, with the maximum damage reported in Shimla district, where 22 transformers are out of service. Mandi district has one disrupted transformer.
Water supply has also taken a hit, with 15 water supply schemes disrupted. Of these, eight are in Shimla and seven in Hamirpur. This disruption is likely to cause inconvenience to residents in these areas, as per data from the State Emergency Operation Centre.
