The victim has been identified as Rajneesh (35), a resident of Pathakpur village in Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh. The accident took place when he was walking on the road near the PSPCL office.
Amarjit Singh, a resident of Sardarpola Colony, reported that he was on his way to Dera Bassi on his motorcycle around 8:15 am on August 13. When he reached the PSPCL office, he saw Rajneesh walking ahead on the road.

With the help of passers-by, Amarjit took Rajneesh to the Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh. Despite the efforts, Rajneesh succumbed to his injuries.
