A social activist has alleged that no concrete action has been taken in the case where 40 children from Government Primary School, Badi in Kullu district fell ill after eating kheer served under the mid-day meal scheme on August 18.
Social activist Dile Ram said that repeated inquiries into the incident have failed to reach a conclusion. This has left parents worried about the safety of their children, he added.

According to Dile Ram, a large number of parents met with Additional District Magistrate Surjeet Singh Rathore at his office on Saturday last week. They submitted a 12-point memorandum demanding an impartial inquiry into the incident.
The memorandum also seeks strict action against those found responsible for the incident.

Dile Ram said that the children were served kheer on August 18, after which several of them complained of dizziness and fell ill.
