R Madhavan, Disha Patani and Shriya Saran have joined the cast of Akshay Kumar and Sajid Khan's upcoming untitled comedy. The film is being produced by Ektaa R Kapoor and is planned as an out-and-out comedy. It will bring together a fresh ensemble led by Kumar, Madhavan, Patani and Saran.
Akshay Kumar and R Madhavan Reunite for a Comedy
The biggest talking point here is the reunion of Akshay Kumar and R Madhavan. The two actors were last seen together in Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh (2025). In that film, they played rivals in a courtroom drama.
This time, the pairing will be completely different. Their upcoming collaboration will see them explore the comedy genre together. Their pairing is expected to be one of the key elements of the film.
Disha Patani and Shriya Saran as Romantic Leads
Disha Patani and Shriya Saran have also come on board the project. Both actresses will play the romantic leads in the film.
The film is said to revolve around middle-aged men and will follow a comedy-of-errors format. This suggests a light-hearted, situational style of humour rather than a straight romantic storyline.

Our Take: A Fresh Ensemble Worth Watching
In our view, this casting works because it mixes two things Bollywood often keeps separate — a proven comedy pair in Akshay Kumar and Sajid Khan, and a fresh combination of actors who have not shared this kind of screen space before.
Madhavan and Akshay as rivals worked in a serious courtroom drama. Whether that same energy translates into comedy is the real question. If it does, their pairing could carry the film.
To put it plainly, the film's success will depend on the writing. A comedy-of-errors needs tight scripting, and a big cast alone cannot save weak jokes. For now, the project has the right names attached. What it needs next is a title and a release plan.
