New LPG Booking Rules Alert for Panchkula Consumers

Panchkula, March 30: The supply of domestic and commercial LPG in Panchkula district is fully normal and under control. A total of 12 gas agencies are operational in the district, and currently, there is no shortage of any type of cylinder for domestic consumers.
 
The District Food and Supplies Controller (DFSC), Panchkula, Sh Jatin Mittal, stated that, in view of the current circumstances, the administration has introduced certain precautionary changes to the LPG cylinder booking cycle. Consumers are requested to book their cylinders strictly in accordance with the prescribed guidelines. Multiple booking options including online portals, mobile apps, missed calls, and SMS services are available and may be conveniently utilized.
 
He further informed that regular inspections and monitoring are being conducted across the district to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted supply. Appealing to the public, he urged citizens not to heed rumors and to refrain from unnecessary hoarding of gas cylinders. He also encouraged the adoption of alternative, energy-efficient cooking methods such as induction and infrared cooktops alongside LPG.
 
He added that commercial consumers, particularly those associated with essential and critical services, may contact the District Food and Supply Office, Panchkula, to restore or maintain supply in accordance with their allotted quotas. Additionally, commercial establishments are being encouraged to adopt PNG and apply for connections, thereby helping to sustain the availability of domestic LPG.
 
Sh Mittal clarified that the current LPG supply in Panchkula district exceeds daily consumption; therefore, there is no shortage. He appealed to all citizens to adhere to the administration’s guidelines, maintain calm, and avoid unnecessary panic.
 
 Appointment of Nodal Officers for monitoring and supply management 
 
To ensure uninterrupted supply of gas and petroleum products and to curb black marketing and hoarding, the District Food and Supply Office has appointed two Nodal Officers. AFSO Sh Balwinder Singh Lamba (Mobile: 9988515282) has been designated for the Kalka area, while AFSO Sh Baljit Malik (Mobile: 8146005582) has been assigned to Panchkula, Raipur Rani, and Barwala. Consumers may contact the respective officers in case of any issues.
 
 Establishment of Control Room 
 
A Control Room has also been set up at the Office of the District Food and Supplies Controller, which can be reached at 0172-2929353 between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM.
