Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu laid the foundation stone of the new building for Government Senior Secondary School, Nadaun. The project will cost Rs 17.52 crore and aims to replace the old campus with a modern facility for students.

The new building will include six classrooms, seven laboratories, two staff rooms, and a principal's office. It will also have an electric room, an NSS room, a conference room, a library room, a control room, a music room, a dance room, and an art room, along with other basic amenities.
The Chief Minister said the existing school building had become quite old. He added that the new campus would be completed by December and would be modern, spacious, and aesthetically appealing, providing students with better educational facilities.
Sukhu on teacher recruitment and education quality
Sukhu also spoke about teacher recruitment during the event. He said that teachers were being recruited in schools strictly on the basis of merit, with additional steps being taken to improve the quality of education.
