Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has given a major development boost to Nuh district. He inaugurated and laid the foundation stones of 22 development projects worth Rs 174.66 crore. These projects aim to strengthen healthcare services and expand sports, education, and other public infrastructure in the district.
Nuh District Development Projects: 100-Bed Hospital Leads the Way
The largest project among the 22 is the construction of a 100-bed District Civil Hospital. This hospital will be built on the premises of the old Community Health Centre (CHC) in Nuh at a cost of Rs 155.49 crore. This single project accounts for nearly 89% of the total investment, showing a clear focus on improving healthcare access in the district.
Beyond the main hospital, the Health Department will also construct Sub-Health Centre (SHC) buildings in several villages. These smaller facilities are designed to bring basic medical services closer to rural communities.
Healthcare Infrastructure Expansion in Nuh Villages
The new Sub-Health Centre buildings are spread across multiple villages in the district. Each project has a specific budget allocated for construction:
- Adbar village — Rs 60 lakh
- Chharora village — Rs 79 lakh
- Kankar Kheri village — Rs 64 lakh
- Nai village — Rs 69 lakh
These SHC buildings are part of a broader push to strengthen the primary healthcare network in rural Nuh. The investment in smaller health centres alongside the major district hospital indicates a two-level approach — building both central and local medical facilities.
