Chandigarh - Under the leadership of Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee President Rao Narendra Singh, a delegation of Congress leaders visited the Palwal grain market (mandi) to review the arrangements there. During the visit, the leaders held detailed interactions with farmers, listened to their grievances seriously, and assessed the ground situation firsthand.
During the visit, widespread mismanagement in the mandi came clearly to light. Farmers stated that they are facing significant difficulties in selling their produce. Delays in procurement, lack of proper storage facilities, and absence of basic amenities are causing them financial losses.
Rao Narendra Singh said that the poor condition of mandis is a result of the government’s negligence. He alleged that the government is not serious about farmers’ issues, due to which the food providers are continuously struggling. He demanded immediate improvements in mandis, acceleration of the procurement process, and provision of all necessary facilities to farmers on a priority basis.
Congress leaders assured the farmers that their voices would be strongly raised before the government and that the fight for their rights would continue.
Prior to the visit, Rao Narendra Singh held a monthly review meeting of district presidents at the Palwal District Congress office and interacted with party workers, discussing organizational matters in detail.
In his address, he called upon everyone to remain united and face anti-national and anti-social forces with full strength, while also boosting the morale of party workers.
On this occasion, former state president Chaudhary Udaybhan, co-in-charge Jitendra Baghel, co-in-charge Prafulla Gudthe, former minister Karan Dalal, district president Netrapal Adhana, Faridabad district president Baljeet Kaushik, women district president Savita Kundu, Sumit Gaur, Rishi Yadav, along with several Congress leaders and workers, were present.
