Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has alleged that the entire education system, from top to bottom, is involved in paper leaks. Speaking at a 'Chhatron ki Goonj' rally, Gandhi said that 7.5 crore students have suffered so far due to these leaks.
Rahul Gandhi's allegations on paper leaks in education system
According to The Hindu, Gandhi said that cases of paper leaks are rising by the day due to the "corrupt system." He claimed that no action against the guilty, including conviction, has been taken so far.
The Congress leader stated that 1 per cent of students with money and connections are getting paper leaks done, which affects the rest of the students.
Demand for independent educational institutions
Gandhi also said that no political party should have a "hold" on educational institutions. He argued that institutions should be independent.
"The vice-chancellor should not be from one organisation. The in-charge of the National Testing Agency (NTA) should not be from a political outfit," he said, as reported by The Tribune.
Impact on students' dreams
Gandhi described the situation as "not just system failure, but a blow on the dreams of millions." He said that the broken education system is crushing students' dreams.

Our Take: A serious charge that needs investigation
Rahul Gandhi's allegations are serious. He is claiming that the entire education system — from top to bottom — is involved in paper leaks. If true, this means that the people who are supposed to protect the system are the ones breaking it.
His demand for independent educational institutions makes sense. When political parties control universities and testing agencies, it creates opportunities for corruption. Students are the ones who suffer the most.
The fact that 7.5 crore students have been affected is a huge number. It shows that this is not a small problem. It is a widespread issue that needs immediate attention.
In our view, the government should investigate these allegations thoroughly. If there is corruption in the education system, the guilty must be punished. Students deserve a fair and honest system.
