Sirmaur Accident Details: What Happened on the Way to Funeral
The vehicle was on its way to perform the last rites of a deceased person when the driver lost control. According to The Tribune, the Bolero Camper was carrying mourners when it skidded off the road and fell into the gorge.
The police identified the vehicle as HP 79-4595. It had been hired to transport the body of Jagdish Sharma, a resident of Arlu village. Sharma was declared dead at Sangrah hospital following a heart attack. His family members and other villagers were travelling with the body towards Arlu to perform the last rites.
Injuries and Medical Response After the Gorge Accident
The accident left nine people injured, including the driver. Four of the injured have been referred to the Medical College, Nahan, because of their serious condition. The remaining injured are receiving treatment at local medical facilities.
