Visits temples across North Assembly constituency and other parts of the city
Amritsar: On the auspicious occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, BJP leader from the North Assembly constituency, Akshay Sharma, visited several temples across the city to seek the blessings of Lord Shri Krishna. The city witnessed an atmosphere of religious devotion and enthusiasm as devotees gathered at temples to celebrate the festival.
Akshay Sharma visited Shri Durgiana Temple, ISKCON Temple, Shivala Bhaiyan and several other temples, where he paid obeisance and offered prayers to Lord Shri Krishna. He also participated in various religious programmes and celebrated the sacred festival of Janmashtami along with devotees.
Extending his heartfelt greetings to the people of the city on Shri Krishna Janmashtami, Akshay Sharma said that the life of Lord Shri Krishna inspires everyone to follow the path of truth, righteousness, duty and humanity. He said that Janmashtami is not merely a religious festival but also conveys a strong message of love, brotherhood and communal harmony.
He said that Lord Shri Krishna’s message of continuing to perform one’s duty without worrying about the outcome remains an inspiration for every individual even today. He appealed to people to celebrate the festival with devotion and enthusiasm while strengthening mutual love, harmony and brotherhood in society.
The temples across the city were specially decorated for Janmashtami. Devotees started visiting the temples from early morning, and by evening, a large number of people had gathered to seek the blessings of Lord Shri Krishna. Amid devotional songs, bhajans and religious programmes, devotees celebrated the birth of Lord Shri Krishna with great faith and enthusiasm.
