Chandigarh, 13 June 2026: The Deaf Community of Tricity today successfully organized a Langar Seva and Chabeel near the bus stop at Aasha Kiran and KUC, Chandigarh.
The event was entirely planned, managed, and executed by Deaf and mute adults of Tricity Including Deaf NRI and Harayana foundation of Deaf Women Trust ,showcasing their spirit of service, leadership, and social responsibility.
More than 500 people from the community benefited from the langar and refreshing chabeel water distributed during the event. The initiative aimed to promote the values of equality, compassion, and community service while highlighting the capabilities and contributions of Deaf individuals to society.
Community leaders, including Simranjeet Singh, along with other members of the Deaf community, expressed their gratitude to all volunteers and supporters who contributed to the success of the event. They also urged the public, organizations, and government institutions to work towards making society more accessible and inclusive for Deaf and mute persons through improved communication access, awareness, and equal opportunities.
The event served as a powerful example of how Deaf individuals can lead and organize meaningful social initiatives while contributing positively to the wider community.
