Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, has made a serious allegation against India's education system. Speaking at a student rally in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, he claimed that the entire system is involved in examination paper leaks. He said that 7.5 crore students have suffered because of this, but not a single guilty person has been punished.

Rahul Gandhi's Allegations on Paper Leaks and Student Suffering

Addressing the second 'Chhatron Ki Goonj' (voice of students) rally, Gandhi said the country's examination system has become deeply compromised. He blamed corruption and political interference for the situation. According to The Hindu, Gandhi stated that paper leaks are not just a system failure but a blow to the dreams of millions of students.

Gandhi alleged that cases of paper leaks are rising day by day because of the corrupt system. He claimed that 152 paper leak cases have been reported so far, but till now not a single guilty person has been convicted. He further alleged that just "1 per cent" of cases lead to any action.

Call for Complete Overhaul of Examination System

The Congress leader called for a complete overhaul of the examination system to restore students' faith. He argued that the current system is failing students and destroying their futures. According to The Tribune, Gandhi described the education system as "broken" and said it is crushing students' dreams.

"Cases of paper leaks are rising day by day because of the corrupt system, but till now not a single guilty person has been convicted." — Rahul Gandhi, as reported by The Hindu

Gandhi also alleged that the education system has been captured by the BJP's parent organisation, according to a statement shared on Facebook by Congress leader Nasir Hussain. He said that this political interference is a key reason why paper leaks keep happening and why no one is held accountable.

Our Take: A Serious Accusation That Demands Action

In our view, Rahul Gandhi's allegations are extremely serious. If it is true that 152 paper leak cases have occurred and no one has been punished, then the system is clearly broken. Students across the country are working hard for their exams, and paper leaks destroy their trust and their futures. The government must take these allegations seriously and investigate them thoroughly. A complete overhaul of the examination system, as Gandhi demands, may be necessary to restore fairness and protect the dreams of millions of students.
